Plotting Different Values

This guide will show you how to change between the default (the 'mean' average) and other statistical plots, let's have a look at them.
Plotting on Charts
You can change the aggregate statistic to plot when creating your chart.
Tip: There are a variety of statistics to choose from if you have Core Analytics or Advanced Analytics, which can be found here: https://samknows.com/products/samknows-one/analytics
1. Go to the Chart Builder in the left-hand side of your screen. In Analytics click on Show Advanced Options.
2. If you're building a chart, go to Value to Plot, and choose the statistic from the dropdown menu.
Tip: To find out how to plot multiple statistics on the same chart, such as both the 20th and 80th percentiles, read our article on Multiple Data Series.
Plotting on Tables
In addition to plotting your data as a visual chart, you can also create a table. Tables allow you to include additional aggregate functions. You can also change the values of the columns inside a summary table, adding multiple (e.g. Mean and Median) or change Mean to something else.
1. Go to the Chart Builder on the left-hand side of your screen. Select Show Advanced Options in Analytics.
2. You will now see a box like the one below. Add as many value to plots as you like by adding them to the Table Columns selector box and they will be shown as columns.
3. Click on the box and it will show you the available options to add to your table. If you start to type then the box will narrow down the options. For example, you can type Sample then just hit Enter to add Sample Count.
Plotting on Data Tables
If you’ve already plotted a line chart, you can also inspect the information that forms each point on the chart.
1. After creating your chart, select Data Tables on the chart’s navigation bar.
2. You’ll now see a series of statistics for each point. To change the stats shown click the Show / Hide Columns button.
3. Select the statistics to be displayed.
4. Finally, click save to see your new table. Thats it! Your table is now ready.
