Prefiltering
Governments; ISPs
This guide will walk you through how to enable or disable prefiltering on agents. Prefiltering is a mechanism in order to try and remove data that is unhelpful and likely to be anomalous.
Choosing to Prefilter
Tip: You can enable or disable prefiltering in the chart builder in the date range section.
Prefiltering by default:
- Results we believe to be impossible or incredibly unlikely
- Agents flagged to be ‘excluded from metrics’ (prefiltered) in agent administration
- Whiteboxes on packages where the package speed is higher than the whiteboxes capabilities
Tip: You can find out more about prefiltering at https://samknows.com/products/samknows-one/analytics#prefiltering
Prefiltering a Specific Agent
Tip: Problematic and/or testing agents can be prefiltered by default to stop them from contributing to and impacting analytics.
1. Go into the Management Suite on the top navigation, then select Agents.
2. Navigate to the agent you wish to filter.
3. Click Edit in the Unit Details box and tick (or untick to remove from prefiltering) the box labelled Exclude from Analytics.
4. Click Save.
5. Thats it! That specific agent is now prefiltered and will no longer be taking into considering for analytics.
